Arabic SMS v2.1

Pre-Install

Your iPhone should be jailbreaked "Freeeeed!" before starting to follow the installation guide. If not, please refer to our easy to follow Step-by-Step Guide to free your iPhone.

Requirements

1. You should have access to your iPhone files using any software (We will use WinSCP in the guide).

2. Download and extract the below list of files:

ApachePHP , ArabicSMS.app-2.1, arabicsms-2.1 , arialuni , and sqlite3

STEP 1

From your iPhone, tab on the Installer then Install the below: (You should be connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or EDGE)

A. Apache (Found under Network section).

B. PHP (Found under Development section).

STEP 2

A. Copy the file "profile" ( from ApachePHP ) to /etc/ in the iPhone. (If instructed, replace existing file)

 

B. Copy the file "httpd.conf" ( from ApachePHP ) to /private/etc/httpd/ in the iPhone. (If instructed, replace existing file)

C. Restart your iPhone. (So the changes take effect)

STEP 3

A. Copy the file "sqlite3" (from sqlite3 ) to /usr/bin/ in the iPhone.

 

B. change the permissions for the file "sqlite3" to be 755 (Right-Click on the file ---> Choose Properties ---> change the Octal value).

 

STEP 4

Copy the Arabic Font file "arialuni.ttf" (from arialuni ) to /System/Library/Fonts/Cache/ in the iPhone (If instructed, replace existing file).

STEP 5

Copy the folder "arabicsms" (from arabicsms-2.1) to /Library/WebServer/Documents/ in the iPhone.

 

STEP 6

A. Copy the folder "ArabicSMS.app" (from ArabicSMS.app-2.1) to /Applications/ in the iPhone.

 

B. Change the permissions for the file "openurl" under /Applications/ArabicSMS.app/ to be 755

 

 

STEP 7

Change the permissions for the below two folders to be 755:

A. /private/var/root/Library/SMS

 

B. /private/var/root/Library/AddressBook

 

Congratulations!

Now you can enjoy reading Arabic SMS, just tab on the ArabicSMS icon
